Joining Together In Worship And In Work

We’re back in full swing! Our services, events, adult classes, youth learning, and committee meetings are all signs of the hustle and bustle of an energetic EMJC. One September highlight was our Open House barbeque. Cantor Sam Levine and Marjorie Sanua shared their lovely music, and a variety of activities were held in the yard and gym. It was exciting to welcome new member families. Kudos to all who helped to make it a wonderful event—the members and staff who rolled up their sleeves, and in particular, our Special Events Committee.

Committees are a central part of EMJC. Revamping and revitalizing the committee structure has been a priority over the summer. It’s a great time to join one of our many committees and contribute to the richness of the Center. Please return the sign-up form that was mailed out earlier, or stop by the office for a new one. Thank you to the many members who have already stepped forward. We offer our members and the community a historic facility with activities 12 months a year, 24 hours, 7 days a week, and all are welcome. EMJC volunteers figure strongly in our community’s liveliness.

As we approach the year 5769 may we reaffirm our commitment to the important work of EMJC. We pray for peace for ourselves, our families, our friends, our country, Israel, and all of humanity.
