REVIVAL is a spiritual folk-rock music performance that speaks to moral issues of our day.

The show features original story-driven songs performed by a small ensemble of singers

and instrumentalists, including Lea Kalisch, Julia Ostrov (EMJC’s assistant cantor for the High Holidays!), Samantha Gillogly, and Ugene Romashov. Rooted largely in Hebrew biblical texts, the music expresses themes of justice and healing, and envisions a world grounded in love, compassion, and dignity for everyone. REVIVAL has been performed in NYC over the past year in venues such as the 14th Street Y, WOW Café Theater, and Congregation Beit Simchat Torah. In February the show was featured on Tablet Magazine’s Jewcy.com: With ‘REVIVAL,’ Hope Through Music, and the ensemble is currently recording an album that’s due out this spring.
