Short Films and Discussion with Tomer Gekler
Join us for each of these three sessions as Tomer Gekler shows a short film and leads a discussion on its themes. Tomer, the Jewish Agency Shaliach to Brooklyn, brings us award-winning films from the Beit Ha’am film series. These films, produced and directed by young Israeli filmmakers, present unique perspectives on Israeli society and issues of concern to the artists.
The Beit Ha’am film series was created and curated by the Department for Diaspora Activities at the World Zionist Organization. Its aim is to stimulate discussion about issues of interest and concern to Israelis among diaspora Jews, strengthening connection to Israel and adding nuance to the complex issues confronting Israeli society.
Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to explore aspects of “the real Israel.”
