According to Ethiopian Jewish tradition, Sigd commemorates the giving of the Torah and ancient communal gatherings on Mount Sinai. Join us as we learn & celebrate with our guests from Israeli plus the Ethiopian Israeli Jewish community of North America.

Shabbat in the Round Service, 6:30 pm + Ethiopian Dinner, 7:30 pm

Following morning services, Sigd Lunch & Learn (Israeli food)

Guest rabbis from Israel: Kes Eli Vanda Menntessnout and Kes Meseret Bruk

Afternoon service 4: 11 pm, Havdalah, and 5:45 pm film screening of Live and Become, Q&A, refreshments

Sunday, December 3

Sigd Evening Ritual Ceremony, 6:00 pm

Sigd Celebration at 7:00 pm with music and dancing, Ethiopian light food, and culminating with Ethiopian Coffee Service

$18 per person in advance, $25 at the door
